Spy photographers have captured the first images of the 2025 Audi A7 sedan, set to replace the A6.

Spy photographers have captured images of the upcoming A7 sedan, set to replace the A6, marking the first time this new model has been spotted. Interestingly, this model appears to be a traditional sedan rather than a Sportback, which is unusual considering the current A7 is exclusively available as a Sportback.

Audi’s decision to maintain a sedan body style for the A7 is surprising, especially since the A4 sedan is being replaced by the A5 Sportback. Despite this, the new A7 follows the design cues of its wagon counterpart, featuring a streamlined look with soft curves and flowing surfaces. The front end is characterized by a wide grille with a pronounced mesh pattern, vertical air curtains, and sweptback headlights.

Further back, the sedan sports minimalist door handles, a familiar greenhouse, boomerang-shaped taillights, a dual exhaust system, and a discreet rear spoiler. While from some angles, particularly the rear, the A7 might resemble a Sportback, the side view clarifies that it is indeed a traditional sedan, with a separate rear window and trunk.

Audi has not disclosed many specifications yet, but the new A7 is expected to be built on the PPC (Premium Platform Combustion) architecture, which will also support the next A5 and Q5 models. The automaker is anticipated to focus more on hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants for this model.
