The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera and GTS debut with a new hybrid powertrain, delivering up to 532 hp. Featuring active aerodynamics and advanced digital displays, the 911 GTS achieves 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds. Available Fall 2024.

The Porsche 911 for the 2025 model year introduces significant updates, particularly with the hybrid technology in the new 911 Carrera and Carrera GTS. The GTS, in particular, replaces its previous 3.0-liter twin-turbo boxer-six engine with a new 3.6-liter boxer-six, incorporating a single electrically driven turbocharger and a synchronous motor in the transmission. This marks the first time the 911 lineup includes a hybrid powertrain, enhancing performance while maintaining Porsche’s signature driving dynamics.

Performance and Powertrain

The 2025 911 GTS boasts impressive performance, achieving 0-60 mph in just 2.9 seconds, a 0.3-second improvement over its predecessor, and a top speed of 194 mph. The hybrid system in the GTS includes an «e-turbo» and an electric motor within the transmission, powered by a compact 1.9 kWh battery. This setup generates a combined output of 532 hp and 449 lb-ft of torque, significantly enhancing the car’s performance.

The standard 911 Carrera also sees improvements, with its 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine now producing 390 hp and 347 lb-ft of torque. It achieves 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds, or 3.7 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono Package, and a top speed of 183 mph.

Design and Features

The 2025 models feature updated designs with new active aerodynamic aids. The GTS comes standard with rear-axle steering and manually adjustable coilovers, offering a lowered ride height and enhanced handling. The exterior includes a redesigned front fascia with LED Matrix headlights, larger lower intakes, and a redesigned rear with a new light bar and decklid grille. Inside, the updated 911 includes a fully digital driver’s information cluster, a first for the model, alongside a 10.9-inch center display supporting native apps like Spotify and Apple Music.
