Editorial Policy
How we choose, check and correct what we publish.
This page explains how CARINDUST chooses, checks and corrects what it publishes.
Sources
Facts in our stories come from primary sources wherever they exist: manufacturer press releases and media sites, regulators such as NHTSA, the EPA and the IIHS, company filings and investor materials, and official sales data. When a fact comes from another publication's reporting, we say so and link to it. We do not present rumors as facts; unconfirmed reports are labelled as such.
Analysis and opinion
Columns in our Analysis section are written in the first person by a named analyst. They separate facts, which are sourced, from judgments, which are clearly marked as the author's view. Every column sets out the strongest argument against its own conclusion.
Photos
We use official press photography supplied by manufacturers and organisations for editorial use, credited in the caption. We do not use photos taken from other news outlets, stock images we have not licensed, or AI-generated images presented as real.
Independence
CARINDUST is funded by advertising. Advertisers have no influence on what we cover or what we conclude, and we do not publish paid content disguised as editorial.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. Significant corrections are noted at the end of the story with the date of the change. To report an error, write to info@carindust.com with a link to the story.
Updates to older stories
Our news archive dates back to 2024. When later events change the picture — a model is cancelled, a company goes out of business — we add a dated update note to the original story instead of rewriting it.
