2025 Honda Civic Sedan Launches with New Hybrid Model and Updated Features

Honda has announced the release of the refreshed 2025 Honda Civic sedan, now available for purchase. The standout update is the introduction of the new Civic Hybrid, which boasts an impressive 50 mpg city rating.

The 2025 Civic sedan starts at $25,345. The non-hybrid variant features a new Atkinson-cycle 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 150 horsepower, slightly less than the previous 158 hp engine. The Civic Sport is priced at $27,345.

The 2025 Civic Sport Hybrid sedan is priced at $29,845, $2,500 more than its non-hybrid counterpart. The hybrid model combines a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors, generating a total of 200 horsepower and 232 lb-ft of torque—more torque than the Civic Si.

Fuel efficiency ratings for the Civic LX and Sport models are 32 mpg city, 41 mpg highway, and 36 mpg combined. The Civic Hybrid impresses with 50 mpg city, 47 mpg highway, and 49 mpg combined.

The Civic hatchback will also feature the hybrid powertrain, although pricing details have not yet been announced.
