Discover the Upgraded 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands
The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands, starting at $38,390, features enhanced off-road capabilities with prominent skid plates and new front and rear bumpers.
The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands has been spotted completely uncovered ahead of its official debut. Unlike its sibling, the Maverick, the Bronco Sport Badlands will not undergo drastic changes for the 2025 model year. However, the updates it does receive are aimed at enhancing its off-road capabilities, appealing to those purchasing the top trim of the Bronco Sport lineup.
Starting at $38,390 for the 2024 model, the Ford Bronco Sport is designed for customers seeking the comforts of a regular crossover in a distinctive package. The Badlands trim, the peak of the Bronco Sport lineup, features skid plates, all-terrain tires, a 4×4 system with seven different terrain modes, and more, making it one of the more capable crossovers available.
The most noticeable changes for 2025 are in the front and rear bumpers. The metal skid plates are now more prominent, extending into similarly colored trim that almost reaches the grille. At the rear, the silver trim enhances its rugged appearance. Both bumpers feature cutouts for tow hooks, indicating this is the Badlands model, the only trim with this feature. Other exterior elements are expected to remain unchanged, though new wheel or color options could be introduced.
Inside, the 2025 Bronco Sport Badlands is anticipated to receive a larger infotainment screen and a 360-degree camera. Performance will likely remain the same, with the option of a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine producing 181 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque or a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine delivering 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque.
Since Jeep reduced its lineup, there have been few options for mid-size crossovers with solid off-road capabilities, aside from the Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness. While the Bronco Sport Badlands might not be suitable for extreme off-roading like the Rubicon, it is well-equipped for weekend camping trips.
Ford has recently reduced prices across the entire Bronco Sport lineup, making it a more attractive option overall. While the base Big Bend trim offers limited performance, the Heritage edition stands out with its retro-inspired aluminum wheels, capturing the nostalgia associated with the Bronco name. The facelifted Bronco Sport is expected to continue offering special trims.
