Tesla’s latest Model 3 Performance boasts over 500 hp with upgraded suspension and exclusive design features for an optimized driving experience.

A recent examination of Tesla UK’s website source code reveals details about the upcoming Model 3 Performance, expected to feature two «all-new high-performance drive units.» These units reportedly generate a combined power output of more than 500 hp, with the front motor delivering 201 hp and the rear motor 406 hp. However, their peak performances occur at different speeds, resulting in a lower total effective horsepower.

For those eagerly anticipating the new Model 3 Performance, Tesla has enhanced the vehicle’s suspension system. According to details from InsideEVs, the source code describes an «all-new adaptive damping powered by in-house software» designed to offer improved body control while maintaining everyday comfort and usability. The extent of driver control over this damping system remains unclear, though Tesla hints at a new driving mode that integrates adaptive suspension controls, suggesting potential customization options.

Additionally, Tesla is introducing a new Track Mode software, known as V3, which recalibrates the powertrain and adaptive suspension for greater driver authority. This mode allows for adjustments in handling balance, stability controls, and the regenerative braking system.

The latest Model 3 variant will also feature an upgraded brake system, enhancing pedal feel and heat management. Aesthetically, the Model 3 Performance is set to include model-specific front and rear fascias, a prominent rear diffuser, and a carbon fiber spoiler. It will also sport a new set of lightweight, staggered wheels. Interior updates are more reserved, with new seats featuring heavier bolsters and carbon fiber accents, designed to enhance the driving experience as drivers harness the full potential of 500 electric horsepower.
