2024 BMW X2 Debuts: Bold Design Meets Electrifying Performance
The 2024 BMW X2, revealed in Lisbon, showcases striking designs like Frozen Tampa Bay Green and advanced models like the iX2 xDrive30, blending luxury with electrified power.
BMW recently showcased the 2024 X2 at an international media event in Lisbon, Portugal, releasing nearly 200 images of the crossover coupe. The effectiveness of these images in convincing customers about the X2’s unique exterior design is yet to be determined.
Among the models highlighted, the X2 M35i, painted in Frozen Tampa Bay Green, stands out. While this bold color choice might not be everyone’s preference, it undeniably makes a strong impression.
The vehicle features black accents including the front grille, air intakes, bumper sections, wing mirrors, and distinctive wheels with black and silver details.
Another variant presented was the Brooklyn Grey iX2 xDrive30, resembling the traditional combustion engine models but exclusively offered in this configuration. It is equipped with dual electric motors, front and rear, producing a total of 309 hp and 364 lb-ft of torque. This setup enables the iX2 xDrive30 to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 5.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 112 mph.
The iX2 xDrive30 is powered by a 64.8 kWh battery, claiming a range of 259 to 279 miles on a single charge. However, it’s noted that the iX2 won’t be available in the U.S. Market.
For the U.S., two combustion engine versions are offered: the xDrive28i, featuring a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 241 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, and the more potent X2 M35i, which boosts output to 312 hp and 295 lb-ft with its 2.0-liter turbocharged engine.
The X2 xDrive28i is priced starting at $42,995, while the X2 M35i begins at $52,395, both prices inclusive of a $995 destination fee.
