Discover the 2025 Volkswagen Jetta: Enhanced Features and Modern Design
The 2025 Volkswagen Jetta gets a major update with new styling, added features, and improved technology. Starting at $23,295, it offers an 8.0-inch touchscreen, IQ.Drive safety, and more.
The Volkswagen Jetta has been a staple in the lineup for some time. The seventh-generation model, which debuted in the US in 2019, received a minor facelift in 2022. Now, VW is giving its entry-level sedan a more comprehensive update for 2025, featuring a refreshed look and additional features.
Starting with the exterior, the 2025 Jetta sports a new front fascia design with two new grilles, sleeker LED headlights, and an optional full-width light bar in the upper grille for Sport models and above. The rear of the Jetta also sees a new full-width taillight bar. Standard 17-inch wheels are included, with 18-inch wheels available on the SEL and GLI trims.
Inside, the 2025 Jetta has been updated with a new «three-line» dashboard design and new color options such as Seawall Blue and Storm Grey. An 8.0-inch touchscreen is now standard across all trims, featuring SiriusXM satellite radio, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The touch-capacitive controls on the center console and steering wheel of the GLI carry over, but they are now illuminated like other updated VW models. Notably, VW is transitioning to a traditional steering wheel for the GLI, as confirmed by a spokesperson.
he powertrain remains unchanged. The base Jetta continues to use a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 158 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, now only available with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission as the manual option has been discontinued.
The Jetta GLI retains its turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, producing 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The GLI still offers the choice between a six-speed manual and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Additional performance features for the GLI include larger brakes, a limited-slip differential, and an adaptive suspension.
All Jetta models, including the GLI, come standard with VW’s IQ.Drive active safety technology. This suite includes features such as forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, active blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control.
The 2025 VW Jetta and Jetta GLI will be available for sale in Q3 of 2024. The base Jetta, now with a standard automatic transmission, is slightly cheaper than the outgoing model, starting at $23,295 including destination charges. Further pricing details will be announced closer to the release date.
