Singer Vehicle Design unveils its 300th reimagined Porsche 911 Targa, the ’Sotto’ Commission, featuring a 4.0L flat-six and bespoke design in Resistance Blue.

Singer Vehicle Design recently celebrated a significant achievement by delivering its 300th reimagined Porsche 911, a testament to the brand’s success and desirability since its inception in 2009. This milestone vehicle, based on a 1990 Porsche 911 Targa, showcases Singer’s commitment to blending classic aesthetics with modern engineering. Dubbed the ’Sotto’ Commission, it features a striking Resistance Blue carbon fiber body with subtle side stripes and an interior luxuriously retrimmed in vibrant Orange leather, complemented by black stitching.

The car’s performance is as impressive as its appearance, with a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine housed in a meticulously crafted engine bay, lined with quilted orange leather. This power unit is expected to deliver around 390 horsepower and 315 lb-ft of torque, although specific figures weren’t disclosed. Enhancements like a titanium sports exhaust and carbon-ceramic brakes ensure a thrilling yet controlled driving experience, while Fuchs-style wheels and a lack of silver brightwork emphasize the vehicle’s sleek design.

Singer’s decision to pause orders for their Classic Studies in 2022 due to overwhelming demand highlights the exclusivity and appeal of their creations. Although the company hinted at a cap of 450 units for this line, the future holds promise for more innovative projects, potentially incorporating turbocharged engines.

The value of these bespoke vehicles is underscored by recent sales, with examples reaching the seven-figure mark, indicating not just a car but a significant investment. This ’Sotto’ Commission, with its unique blend of style, performance, and craftsmanship, exemplifies the essence of Singer’s reimagined 911s, combining the soul of the classic Porsche with the pinnacle of modern refinement.
