Mercedes-AMG A45 S Unleashes «Green Hell» Edition: Power Meets Prestige

Mercedes-AMG raises the bar with the unveiling the A45 S 4Matic+ Limited Edition, clad in an electrifying «Green Hell Magno» color.

This special edition of the world’s most powerful hot hatch pays homage to the notorious Nürburgring Nordschleife, affectionately known as the «Green Hell», and is set to remain available until the end of 2024.

Since its debut in 2020, the AMG A45 S 4Matic+ has remained largely unchanged, yet it continues to hold its prestigious title. The introduction of the Mercedes «Green Hell Magno» special edition, however, breathes new life into the model, combining unmatched performance with an exclusive aesthetic that’s sure to turn heads. The vibrant green exterior, a hue previously seen in the AMG GT series, now graces the compact segment, accentuated by yellow highlights and unique graphics.

This edition isn’t just about looks; it rolls on 19-inch forged wheels finished in matte black with yellow accents, while the brake calipers shine in gloss black with white AMG lettering, contrasting brilliantly against the car’s bright exterior. The AMG emblem adorns the fuel cap, and the «AMG Coat of Arms» puddle lights project the brand’s emblem, adding a touch of elegance and exclusivity.

Inside, the A45 S Limited Edition boasts Artico man-made leather and Microcut microfibre upholstery, highlighted by yellow stitching and piping that complement the vehicle’s dynamic exterior and multi-color ambient lighting. The car doesn’t just rely on its standard features; it also offers a selection of optional packages like the AMG Night Package and AMG Night Package II, enhancing the vehicle’s appeal with high-gloss black elements, dark-tinted windows, and more.

From an aerodynamic standpoint, the AMG Aerodynamics Package adds sophisticated elements such as a fixed rear wing, ensuring that this hot hatch is as swift as it is stylish. The heart of the A45 S remains unchanged, with its turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 416 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. This power is adeptly managed by an eight-speed automatic transmission and the fully variable AMG Performance 4Matic+ system, allowing the car to sprint from 0–62 mph in just 3.9 seconds, with a top speed of 168 mph.
