Experience the future of driving with Volkswagen's ID. Buzz GTX: Featuring all-wheel drive, multiple seating options, and rapid charging technology.

Volkswagen introduces the latest addition to its electric vehicle lineup, the ID. Buzz GTX. This new model infuses the iconic Bulli with a powerful performance drive system and brings the all-electric vehicle into the future with two wheelbases, two battery sizes, and seating configurations for 5, 6, or 7 passengers. A significant feature of the ID. Buzz GTX is the standard 4MOTION all-wheel drive, ensuring superior traction and power in various driving conditions.

The ID. Buzz GTX joins Volkswagen’s expanding GTX portfolio, which includes the ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, and the ID.7 Tourer, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to sporty and electric models. Pre-sales are expected to begin in the summer, marking a new chapter in the electrification of Volkswagen’s fleet.

The ID. Buzz GTX is powered by two electric motors that work together to create an all-wheel-drive system. This setup allows the vehicle to reach a top speed of 160 km/h, which is electronically limited for safety. The electric motors draw power from one of two battery options, with capacities that enable fast charging from 10 to 80 percent in just 26 minutes using DC fast charging stations.

One of the highlights of the GTX model is its enhanced towing capacity. The standard wheelbase version can tow up to 1,800 kg, while the long wheelbase version can handle up to 1,600 kg. This increased capacity, combined with the 4MOTION system’s traction benefits, makes the ID. Buzz GTX a versatile vehicle suitable for towing heavy loads like boats or horse trailers.

The exterior of the ID. Buzz GTX showcases a unique front end with a bumper styled in GTX fashion, featuring a black air intake grille in a honeycomb design and dynamic side air guide elements. The vehicle also boasts new daytime running lights, high-gloss black elements, and exclusive Solna 20-inch alloy wheels, with options for two new 21-inch designs. The GTX model introduces a Cherry Red paint finish, available as a solid or two-tone option with Mono Silver metallic.

Inside, the ID. Buzz GTX exudes a sporty character with dark tones, a black headliner, and seats adorned with a specific GTX design. The front seats offer electric adjustment and memory function, highlighted by black ArtVelours Eco microfleece with red contrasting seams. The multifunction steering wheel features red cross-stitching, adding to the vehicle’s sporty appeal.

The ID. Buzz GTX is available in various seating arrangements to accommodate up to seven passengers, depending on the wheelbase and configuration chosen. The luggage compartment is generously sized, offering up to 2,469 litres of space in the long-wheelbase version.

A significant update to the model includes new hardware and software features, such as an optional head-up display and a standard next-generation infotainment system with a larger touchscreen. The system incorporates an innovative IDA voice assistant with ChatGPT integration for enhanced interaction and a Wellness app to improve well-being during driving or charging.

The ID. Buzz GTX revives the spirit of the legendary Samba Bus with an optional panoramic sunroof with smart glass, blending classic design elements with modern technology. This largest panoramic sunroof ever in a Volkswagen vehicle can switch from transparent to opaque electronically, paying homage to the classic car’s iconic roof windows.

The ID. Buzz GTX represents a fusion of Volkswagen’s sporty heritage with its electric future, carrying the GTX label as a nod to the dynamic GTI, GTD, and GTE models. With the introduction of the ID. Buzz GTX, Volkswagen continues to expand its electric vehicle offerings, promising a sporty, versatile, and eco-friendly driving experience.
