The 2025 Ram 1500 RHO, featuring a high-output Hurricane engine with 540 hp, is set to lead Ram’s Sport truck lineup, boasting advanced off-road capabilities and luxurious interiors.

With the phase-out of the TRX, the 2025 RAM 1500 RHO steps up as Ram’s new pinnacle of sporty performance in the pickup segment. Positioned above the Rebel, Warlock, and Power Wagon, the RHO doesn’t exactly replace the TRX but offers a more affordable and slightly less powerful alternative.

The RHO is equipped with Stellantis’s high-output Hurricane engine—a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six that generates 540 horsepower and 521 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle showcases impressive acceleration, achieving 60 mph in 4.6 seconds and 100 mph in 11.7 seconds, with a top speed of 118 mph.

Designed for both performance and durability, the RHO features advanced suspension systems including Bilstein’s Black Hawk e2 adaptive performance shocks and a BorgWarner 48-13 full-time active transfer case. The truck also sports a Dana 60 rear axle with enhanced components for better handling and durability. These modifications allow the RHO to handle tougher terrains with ease, supported by a frame that facilitates up to 14 inches of rear axle travel.

Aesthetically, the RHO stands out with its rugged design. It is eight inches wider than the standard Ram 1500, thanks to composite fender flares that house a six-inch wider track. The vehicle also features 18-inch beadlock wheels, 35-inch tires, and distinct hood and grille designs. For functionality and aesthetics, it includes LED headlights, steel bumpers, oversized tow hooks, and skid plates.

Inside, the RHO combines luxury with utility. It offers twelve-way power leather front seats with heating, ventilation, and massaging functions, aluminum paddle shifters, and up to three interior screens, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch infotainment screen running the latest Uconnect system.

Despite its sporty design, the RHO maintains practicality with a towing capacity of up to 8,380 pounds and a payload capacity of 1,520 pounds. It also boasts a ground clearance of 11.8 inches and the ability to ford 32 inches of water.

Starting at $71,990, including destination charges, the Ram 1500 RHO is now available for order and will officially join the Ram lineup in the third quarter of 2024, solidifying its place as a versatile and powerful option in Ram’s Sport truck series.
