Genesis unveiled two new concept vehicles and officially launched a high-performance program at Genesis House New York, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s evolution.

The Genesis Neolun Concept, the brand’s inaugural full-size electric SUV concept, represents the pinnacle of Genesis hospitality behind the wheel, boasting an array of cutting-edge technological features. The Genesis GV60 Magma Concept, part of the broader Genesis Magma program, redefines the boundaries of performance and luxury, promising an experience filled with passion and exhilaration.

Neolun: A Fusion of Futuristic Innovation and Korean Hospitality

«Neolun» combines the Greek word «neo» (new) and the Latin «luna» (moon), symbolizing Genesis' forward-thinking technological innovation and vision for the future.

The exterior of the Neolun Concept emphasizes «reductive design," characterized by clean, refined lines and the elimination of unnecessary details. Its most notable features include distinctive coach doors without B-pillars, enhancing interior space and passenger accessibility. This design innovation has progressed to the point where its application in production vehicles is now feasible.

The concept also features automatically deployed electric side steps for easy entry and exit, and body-integrated lamps that strengthen the vehicle’s front and rear design. A pop-up type roof rack complements the SUV’s sleek silhouette, while the «Midnight Black» and «Majestic Blue» two-tone scheme echoes Korea’s serene night sky.

Inside, the Neolun Concept’s cabin offers a modern reinterpretation of Korea’s distinctive hospitality culture. The traditional «ondol» radiant heating system ensures efficient warming throughout the vehicle, from the dashboard to the console sides. Front-row seats with a swiveling function, a large adjustable display screen, and a flexible rear-seat display provide a stimulating sensory experience. The luxurious interior finishes include «Royal Indigo» cashmere and naturally dyed «Purple Silk» leather, complemented by a dark-colored real wood floor.

Magma: Merging High-Performance with Driving Pleasure

The Magma program introduces Genesis into high-performance territory, with contributions from racing legend Jacky Ickx. The goal is to develop a high-performance Magma model for each production vehicle in the lineup, enhancing aesthetics and performance. The GV60 Magma Concept, the first to be revealed as part of the Genesis Magma program, aims to create a deeper emotional connection between the driver and the vehicle.

The GV60 Magma Concept combines aesthetics with functionality, featuring widened and lowered chassis for improved stability and aerodynamics. The interior sports bucket seats in Magma’s iconic orange color and titanium grey, made of nappa and suede leather with double-diamond stitching patterns.

Displayed alongside the GV60 Magma Concept at Genesis House New York were the GV80 Coupe Concept, G80 Magma Special, and X Gran Berlinetta Concept, each representing the brand’s potential in high-performance car design.

Racing legend Jacky Ickx, now a Genesis Brand Partner, expressed his admiration for Genesis' elegance and design aesthetics, looking forward to contributing his expertise to the Magma program.
