Nissan Reduces 2024 Ariya Prices, Heating Up EV Competition

Nissan slashes up to $6,000 off 2024 Ariya models, with the base model now under $40,000, intensifying the EV market competition.

Nissan has made a bold move in the competitive electric vehicle (EV) market by significantly reducing the prices of its 2024 Ariya models in the United States, with some prices dropping by up to $6,000. This adjustment makes the Ariya more accessible, with the entry-level Engage FWD model, featuring a 63 kWh battery, now starting at just $39,950—a $3,600 cut from last year’s price.

The lineup also includes three additional FWD models, all powered by a larger 87 kWh battery, with starting prices ranging from $41,190 for the Venture+ FWD, down by $6,000, to $47,960 for the Empower+ FWD, saving buyers $5,730 compared to the 2023 prices. Notably, the Ariya Premiere FWD model has been discontinued.

For those desiring more power, the Ariya offers four AWD options. The entry-level Engage e-4ORCE with a 63 kWh battery is now priced at $43,590, reflecting a $3,600 reduction. The higher-capacity 87 kWh battery versions start at $45,190 for the Engage+ e-4ORCE, with savings of up to $6,000. The top-tier AWD models, the Evolve+ e-4ORCE and Platinum+ e-4ORCE, also see a $6,000 price cut, starting at $48,190 and $54,190, respectively.

It’s worth noting that these prices do not include a $1,390 charge for shipping and destination. Nissan’s decision to lower prices is aimed at staying competitive in the rapidly evolving EV market, as indicated by Judy Wheeler, Nissan U.S. sales chief, in her comments to Auto News, expressing the company’s intention to align more closely with market competitors.
