The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser marks a significant return of Toyota’s iconic off-road vehicle to North America, blending its storied heritage with modern innovations. This latest iteration is designed to honor the Land Cruiser’s legacy while introducing state-of-the-art features and performance enhancements.

The 2024 Land Cruiser lineup includes three distinct grades: the Land Cruiser 1958, the standard Land Cruiser, and the limited-run Land Cruiser First Edition. Each grade brings unique elements to the table, with the Land Cruiser 1958 featuring heritage-inspired round LED headlights and a «Toyota» grille reminiscent of the original models. The standard Land Cruiser grade adopts rectangular headlights, paying tribute to the FJ62 series, while the First Edition, limited to 5,000 units for North America, boasts round heritage LED headlamps and additional off-road focused features such as a roof rack and rock rails.

A key highlight of the 2024 model is its electrification through the i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain, which pairs a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with a 48-hp electric motor. This setup delivers a robust 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque, ensuring the Land Cruiser remains powerful yet fuel-efficient. Furthermore, every model is equipped with a four-wheel-drive system, a center locking differential, and an adaptable two-speed transfer case, enhancing its off-road capabilities.

The Land Cruiser also impresses with its array of available features designed to tackle diverse terrains, such as Multi-Terrain Select and Crawl Control. These systems aid in managing wheel spin and ensuring stability across various landscapes. Additional off-road gear includes electronic locking rear differentials and an On/Off Stabilizer with stabilizer bar disconnect, further solidifying the Land Cruiser’s reputation as a capable off-roader.

Technology-wise, the Land Cruiser doesn’t disappoint. It offers a Multi-Terrain Monitor for enhanced visibility on challenging terrains, displayed on a large 12.3-inch touchscreen. The vehicle is also equipped with a premium 14-speaker JBL® sound system for an immersive audio experience. Safety is a top priority, with the standard Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite providing advanced driver-assistance features such as an enhanced Pre-Collision System and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist.

Comfort and convenience features are abundant in the 2024 Land Cruiser, catering to both adventurers and city dwellers. Options like a heated steering wheel, rear console fridge, wireless charger, and a 2,400W converter ensure a comfortable and connected journey, regardless of the destination.

The reintroduction of the Land Cruiser to North America at a more accessible price point is a nod to its rugged origins, promising to bring the spirit of adventure to a wider audience. With its rich history, modern advancements, and unwavering off-road prowess, the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser is set to continue its legacy as a symbol of Toyota’s commitment to quality, durability, and reliability.
