The second-ever Hennessey Venom F5, with just 229 miles, faces auction. Estimated price suggests the seller might face a significant loss.

The Hennessey Venom F5, often mistaken for mere speculation, is in fact a real powerhouse from the United States. This hypercar boasts an impressive 1,817 horsepower (1,352 kW) and has the potential to exceed speeds of 300 mph (386 km/h). Remarkably, the second unit ever produced is soon going to be auctioned. Surprisingly, its current owner might face a financial loss.

This particular 2022 Hennessey Venom F5 model shines in Lausanne Silver and sports an Ink Leather interior. It is the second of the limited 24 Venom F5s to be manufactured by Hennessey and shows only 229 miles on the clock, indicating its 6.6-liter twin-turbo V8 engine is just getting started.

John Hennessey has hinted at a renewed effort to breach the 300 mph mark, although the F5’s top speed hasn’t been officially verified yet. Regardless, this vehicle is undeniably built for astonishing acceleration, capable of reaching incredibly high speeds in under five seconds.

This car will be auctioned alongside other remarkable vehicles such as a genuine 1966 Shelby 427 S/C Cobra, a Lamborghini Sian, and a Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport, collectively estimated at around $10,000,000. Each of these is expected to fetch a higher price than this exceptionally rare Hennessey.

The original sticker price on the Venom F5 is listed at $2,487,000, without any additional options priced. However, the auction’s estimated price range of $1,200,000 to $1,650,000 suggests the seller may incur a loss. The idea of losing a significant amount on such a scarce hypercar with minimal mileage is astonishing. The final sale price, potentially exceeding its original cost, will be revealed during the auction on the weekend of March 1st and 2nd.
