Ducati Pays Tribute to Ayrton Senna with Special Edition Monster
Ducati honors Ayrton Senna with a limited edition Monster featuring a livery inspired by his helmet, carbon fiber upgrades, and unique design elements. Only 341 units will be produced, priced at $25,000.
Ayrton Senna’s legacy continues to inspire, with the latest tribute coming from Ducati, which has unveiled a special edition Monster in honor of the legendary F1 driver.
This striking bike features a colorful livery inspired by Senna’s iconic helmet, incorporating the vibrant hues of the Brazilian flag—yellow, green, and blue.
Enhancements include carbon fiber silencers, billet aluminum footrests, and unique forged aluminum wheels. Additional touches are a blue seat, a commemorative plaque, and a custom startup animation for the 4.3-inch display.
Further upgrades like a lithium-ion battery and carbon fiber mudguards contribute to the Senna edition weighing 10 pounds (4.5 kg) less than the standard model.
Powered by a Testastretta two-cylinder engine producing 110 hp (82 kW / 111 PS), the bike also features a fully adjustable Öhlins suspension and a Brembo braking system with yellow calipers.
This special edition is limited to 341 units, symbolizing Senna’s three World Titles and 41 race victories. Priced at $25,000, each bike comes with a certificate of authenticity and a motorcycle cover.
Ducati’s connection with Senna dates back to 1990 when Claudio Castiglioni, then owner of Ducati, gifted Senna an 851 SP. Senna was also among the first to own a Monster 900, using it to attend the 1993 Monaco Grand Prix gala. Their collaboration extended to the Ducati 916 Senna, which was announced shortly before Senna’s untimely death and featured a distinctive anthracite grey, matte black, and red design.
