The 2025 Ram 1500 RHO debuts with a 540 hp 3.0-liter turbo engine, setting new standards for power and efficiency in the light-duty truck segment.

The 2025 Ram 1500 RHO was recently unveiled, reinforcing Ram Truck’s reputation as a leader in off-road capabilities. Tim Kuniskis, the CEO of Ram at Stellantis, emphasized that the truck represents the culmination of continuous advancements in engineering and design, describing it as the most adept light-duty pickup in terms of value and performance.

Under the hood, the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO is equipped with a new 3.0-liter Hurricane High Output Straight-Six Turbo engine, a member of the Stellantis Hurricane Twin-turbo family. This engine delivers an impressive 540 horsepower and 706Nm of torque, boasting superior power and efficiency compared to other V-8 and six-cylinder engines in its class. This power is managed by an eight-speed automatic transmission which ensures smooth and rapid gear shifts under various driving conditions.

The truck also features a balanced weight distribution that enhances its agility and response. Its capability is highlighted by a towing capacity of over 3800 kg and a payload capacity of 670 kg. It also boasts up to 81 cm of water fording ability.

Set to be manufactured in Sterling Heights, Michigan, the Ram 1500 RHO is expected to hit dealerships in the last quarter of 2024. This launch marks another significant step for the Ram Truck brand, which has been a standalone entity since 2009, dedicated to delivering high-quality vehicles tailored to the needs of truck buyers. The brand’s comprehensive lineup includes the Ram 1500, 2500/3500 Heavy Duty, and the 3500/4500/5500 Chassis Cab, all designed to meet both work-related and personal transportation needs.
