Kia is set to launch the facelifted EV6, featuring sleek new designs, an upgraded battery, and improved safety and connectivity. Debut expected in Korea, with later rollouts in Europe and North America.

Kia is set to reveal the updated version of its EV6 crossover, three years after the original model’s introduction. The electric vehicle recently featured in a teaser, setting the stage for its official debut in Korea later this month.

The refreshed Kia EV6 follows the Hyundai Ioniq 5, which underwent a similar update earlier this year. Similarly, the Genesis GV60—also built on the E-GMP platform—is anticipated to receive updates soon.

The 2025 Kia EV6 will showcase an advanced design aesthetic, aligning more closely with Kia’s current lineup. Notable features include new, sleeker LED headlights and a distinctive «tiger nose» shaped grille, complemented by a newly designed front bumper that enhances the 3D appearance.

Rear design changes are subtler, with modifications to the LED taillight graphics for a cleaner look, excluding the vertical elements. Expectations include a new rear bumper and updated wheel designs that rejuvenate the vehicle’s profile.

While Kia has not yet revealed the interior, the refresh is expected to include an upgraded infotainment system, a new steering wheel design, and additional color and trim options. Enhanced safety features and improved connectivity are also likely.

Mechanically, the EV6 is poised to adopt a new 84 kWh battery pack from the 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5, an upgrade from the existing 77.4 kWh battery, which should slightly increase the vehicle’s range. Adjustments to the chassis are anticipated to refine the ride while maintaining its sporty essence. The vehicle will continue to offer single and dual electric motor configurations, including the high-performance GT model.

Kia has announced that the facelifted EV6 will launch in the second quarter of 2024, with the EV6 GT debuting later in the fourth quarter. The rollout will commence in Korea, followed by releases in Europe and North America.
