Starting at $86,900, the Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster debuts as a premium off-road pickup in the US, offering unique trims and BMW power.

With the recent unveiling of the Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster, the United States market gains a robust, off-road-ready pickup option. Starting at $86,900, this vehicle evolves from the Grenadier SUV, also known as the Station Wagon, which has been retailing from $71,500. The Quartermaster, while mirroring the standard model in design, transitions into a pickup form with a 305mm extended wheelbase compared to the Station Wagon.

Ineos offers the Quartermaster in three distinct versions: the base model at $86,900, the Trailmaster Edition, and the Fieldmaster Edition, each priced at $94,900, excluding destination charges. The Trailmaster Edition stands out with its differential locks and a «Smooth Pack» featuring a range of amenities including a rear-view camera and heated wing mirrors. The Fieldmaster Edition shares many of these features but adds advanced safety technologies and distinctive safari windows on the roof, alongside premium interior upgrades.

The Grenadier Quartermaster’s pricing reflects its production in Hambach, France, making it subject to a 25% U.S. tariff known as the Chicken Tax. This factor contributes to its higher cost relative to some competitors. While available with a 3.0-liter straight-six diesel engine in other markets, the U.S. version comes exclusively with a 3.0-liter straight-six gasoline engine from BMW, delivering 282 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

This vehicle enters a competitive segment in the U.S., facing off against established off-road pickups like the Ford F-150 Raptor and Chevrolet Colorado ZR2, yet positions itself as a more premium offering. Its closest competition in markets such as Australia would be the Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series.
