Spy shots reveal an intense 911 GT3 RS MR prototype with green wheels and a massive wing, hinting at Porsche and Manthey Racing’s latest collaboration.

Since their collaboration in 2013, Porsche and Manthey Racing have celebrated numerous triumphs on the race track, with Porsche’s 51% stake in Manthey Racing leading to the development of several special packages over the years.

A new package seems to be in the works, as recent spy shots reveal a rigorous prototype being tested at the Nürburgring, presumed to be an enhanced 911 GT3 RS MR version. This prototype catches the eye with its distinctive green wheels and a prominent rear wing.

But the modifications don’t stop there. The vehicle boasts additional aerodynamic features like front flicks and a unique vertical fin that slices through the rear window. These are complemented by an aggressive diffuser and compact vortex generators atop the roof, all designed to maximize the car’s adherence to the track.

While specific details on further enhancements remain scarce, Manthey Racing’s offerings for the 911 GT3 RS typically include adjustable coilover suspension, lightweight magnesium wheels, and superior brake pads. For those seeking even more customization, a range of carbon fiber components is available, such as a Gurney flap and an engine deck lid cover.

As for the 911 GT3 RS, it currently starts at $241,300 and is powered by a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated boxer engine that delivers 518 hp (386 kW / 525 PS) and 342 lb-ft (463 Nm) of torque. This power is routed through a seven-speed PDK transmission to the rear wheels, allowing the car to sprint from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in just three seconds and reach a top speed of 184 mph (296 km/h).

Details on the release of this new package or special edition remain under wraps, but given the ongoing testing since last fall, an official unveiling could be imminent.
