Unveiling the 2025 Kia K4: Elevate your drive with cutting-edge tech, unmatched comfort, and dynamic turbocharged power in Kia's latest compact sedan.

Kia has once again raised the bar in the compact sedan market with the unveiling of its all-new 2025 K4 at the 2024 New York International Auto Show. As the fourth generation of Kia's compact sedan, the K4 emerges as a standout with its exceptional offering of standard, segment-above technology, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), refinement, and unmatched rear headroom and legroom. Adding to its allure is the option of a turbocharged engine, enhancing the vehicle's fun-to-drive factor, complemented by a standard multi-link rear suspension on the GT-Line (2.0 and 1.6 turbo) models, ensuring a responsive driving experience.

Steven Center, COO and EVP of Kia America, emphasized that the all-new K4 underscores Kia’s commitment to delivering sporty sedans equipped with advanced technology and improved performance. Kia aims to surpass expectations in the compact segment by offering an abundance of desired features, designed to exceed customer expectations.

The K4 distinguishes itself with cutting-edge connectivity technology and superior styling in the compact four-door sedan segment. Standard features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an available multi-segment display cockpit boasting nearly 30 inches of digital instrumentation, offering enhanced camera-feed visibility of the surroundings. The K4's premium appeal is further elevated by amenities such as Digital Key 2.0 with Ultra Wideband, Harman Kardon premium audio, heated and ventilated front seats, and a wide sunroof, anticipated to be available across five trim levels in the United States in the second half of 2024.

The K4's exterior design embodies bold proportions and aligns with Kia’s "Opposites United" design philosophy, making a dynamic statement. Tom Kearns, chief designer at Kia Design Center America, shared that the K4’s design visually bridges the gap between compact and midsize segments, thanks to its fastback roofline and wide stance. The design features vertically oriented LED headlights and taillights inspired by the flagship EV9, hidden rear door handles, and a versatile conventional trunk offering ample cargo capacity.

Inside, the K4 sets a new standard for the segment with its integrated digital instrumentation and the ultramodern Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) operating system. The system, featuring over-the-air capability, offers swift and high-fidelity processing with easy access to frequently used controls. The interior is available in either Medium Gray or Slate Green for the EX models, with GT-Line models adding Onyx and Off-White options.

Under the hood, the K4 will offer two powertrain choices in the United States: a standard 2.0-liter engine and an optional 1.6-liter turbocharged engine, paired with an intelligently variable transmission (IVT) or an 8-speed automatic transmission, respectively. The K4 GT-Line Turbo, exclusive to the GT-Line models, promises a sportier driving experience with a multi-link rear suspension.

Kia also enhances the K4 with a suite of ADAS, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to safety. Available technologies include Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, among others, aiming to provide drivers with enhanced confidence behind the wheel.

Set to arrive in the U.S. in the latter half of 2024, the K4 is backed by Kia America’s 10-year/100,000-mile limited warranty. Pricing and specific market availability will be announced closer to the launch date, promising a new era of compact sedan excellence.
