The design journey involved an exploration of design, sculpture, and architecture from the client’s favored regions, including the modernist tropical sky gardens of Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, and British 'Biomimetic' architecture that praises organic forms and material honesty.

The Droptail’s design, inspired by the nautical realm, features bold, low stances and dramatic body lines, highlighted by 'sail cowls' that suggest a yacht’s jib. These design elements direct attention subtly to the occupants, showcasing the vehicle’s bold aesthetic.

The exterior of the Arcadia Droptail is designed with a calm, natural duotone colorway, aimed at defining a timeless white that intrigues under natural light. The incorporation of aluminum and glass particles into the main body color creates an effervescent shimmer, adding depth and sophistication to the vehicle’s appearance. The vehicle’s Santos Straight Grain veneer fascia includes a clock, the most complex Rolls-Royce clock face ever created.
