In the realm of classic supercars, the Lamborghini Countach not only stands out for its groundbreaking design but also for its rarity and performance.

A remarkable example of this iconic model, a 1986 Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole, has recently been put up for auction, offering collectors and enthusiasts a chance to own a piece of automotive history.

This particular Countach is one of approximately 610 units produced between 1985 and 1988, featuring the advanced 5000 QV variant. It boasts a powerful 5.2-liter quad-cam V12 engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission, encapsulating the essence of raw, mechanical driving experiences that modern vehicles often lack. The car is finished in an eye-catching Bianco paint over a matching leather interior, embodying the quintessential Lamborghini aesthetic.

Equipped with scissor doors, a rear wing, fog lights, and 15-inch Ruote OZ wheels finished in white, the car’s appearance is as dramatic as its performance. The interior is not left behind in luxury, with amenities such as an Alpine stereo system, air conditioning, power windows, and a gated shifter, ensuring a comfortable yet exhilarating ride.

Under the current ownership of approximately 23 years, the vehicle has been meticulously maintained, with recent work in October 2022 including fluid services, brake caliper rebuilds, fuel system and brake hydraulics overhauls, and replacements of the throttle cable, alternator, lid struts, and spark plugs. This Countach shows just 16,000 kilometers (~10,000 miles) on the odometer, reflecting its well-preserved condition.

The Countach’s design, penned by Marcello Gandini of Bertone, remains a striking example of automotive art, featuring angular, wedge-shaped styling, NACA ducts, and the iconic scissor doors. This model also incorporates Kevlar for the front and rear deck lids, enhancing its lightweight characteristics.

Despite a few minor imperfections, such as a dent, a bubble in the rear spoiler, and cracks in fiberglass elements, the vehicle’s overall condition is exceptional, a testament to its careful ownership and the quality of the restoration work performed over the years.

Accompanying the car are service records, literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title in the name of the seller’s LLC, ensuring peace of mind for the new owner regarding the car’s history and authenticity.

This 1986 Lamborghini Countach 5000 QV represents not just a pinnacle of engineering and design of its era but also a rare opportunity to invest in a vehicle that continues to captivate the hearts of car enthusiasts around the world. Its blend of performance, style, and exclusivity makes it a standout piece at any auction and a coveted addition to any collection.
