Kia Reveals 2025 Sorento Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid Pricing and Features
Kia’s 2025 Sorento Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid models debut with updated trims and pricing, featuring the new entry-level EX for the Plug-In Hybrid starting at $49,365. Both models will be available later this year.
Kia has announced pricing and details for the 2025 Sorento Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid models, both receiving the same updates as the 2024 combustion model. While prices have generally increased compared to last year, the base price for the Sorento Plug-In Hybrid has actually decreased.
The new entry-level EX trim for the Plug-In Hybrid starts at $49,365, including a $1,375 destination charge. This price is $2,300 less than last year’s base MSRP. The hybrid powertrain remains unchanged, featuring a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a single electric motor and a 14-kWh battery pack, producing 261 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The 2025 Sorento offers an electric-only range of 30 miles.
The EX trim also includes several luxury features such as heated power front seats, a 12.3-inch center display, 19-inch aluminum wheels, LED headlights, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and multiple USB ports throughout the three-row interior. Standard equipment also includes over-the-air updates and a suite of driver-assist features like lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot warning, and forward collision avoidance, all wrapped in the refreshed exterior design introduced last year.
The SX Prestige trim, priced at $54,465, is $2,800 more than the previous year and adds leather trim, heated and ventilated seats, a Bose stereo system, dual 12.3-inch screens, and the full suite of Kia’s advanced driver-assist systems.
For the mild-hybrid Sorento, the entry-level EX with front-wheel drive is priced at $40,065, while the all-wheel-drive version costs $41,865. These prices reflect modest increases of $1,700 and $1,200, respectively. The Sorento Hybrid SX Prestige starts at $48,265, up $4,400 from last year. The hybrid powertrain remains the same, featuring a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a single motor powered by a 1.5 kWh battery, producing 227 horsepower.
Both Sorento hybrid models are expected to be available later this year. More details about the North American release are anticipated soon.
