The 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron marks an ambitious step forward in Audi’s electric vehicle lineup, building upon the legacy of the pioneering Audi e-tron. As the flagship model in Audi’s electric SUV range, the Q8 e-tron boasts enhanced luxury, an optimized drive concept, superior aerodynamics, and advancements in charging performance and battery capacity. Starting at $74,400, the Q8 e-tron offers an EPA-estimated range of up to 285 miles and features rapid DC fast-charging capabilities up to 170 kW. Its dual-motor setup provides 402 horsepower with boost engaged, allowing it to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 5.4 seconds.
The new design elements, particularly the distinctive front bumper, refresh the Q8 e-tron’s appearance, aligning it with Audi’s modern aesthetic. The vehicle benefits from Audi’s commitment to improving electric mobility, evident in its generous electric power consumption range of 24.4–20.1 kWh/100 km (WLTP) for the standard model and 24.1 — 19.5 kWh/100 km (WLTP) for the Sportback version. The high-performance SQ8 e-tron versions push the boundaries further with electric power consumption of 29.0 — 26.2 kWh/100 km (WLTP) for the standard SQ8 e-tron and 28.2 — 25.3 kWh/100 km (WLTP) for the Sportback version, both emitting zero CO2 emissions.
Audi has also introduced the Q8 e-tron edition Dakar, inspired by the Dakar Rally’s RS Q e-tron. This special edition model features a raised chassis and optional decals that pay homage to Audi’s competitive spirit in one of the most challenging rallies in the world. The edition Dakar’s off-road capabilities, combined with its high and instantly available torque, make it an ideal choice for those seeking electrified adventure off the beaten path.
