2025 Kia Seltos: New Pricing, Upgrades, and Facelift Revealed
The 2025 Kia Seltos sees a price increase of $100-$1,000, new standard features, and minor tweaks.
Kia has announced the pricing for the 2025 Seltos crossover, with modest increases ranging from $100 to $1,000 compared to the outgoing model. The facelifted Seltos features minor tweaks, with notable standard equipment upgrades.
The Parking Distance Warning-Reverse system is now standard on the EX and SX trims. The EX AWD and SX trims also come with a Smart Power Liftgate for easier loading of heavy items. The S grade adds an auto up/down function for the driver-side power window. Interestingly, Kia has replaced the 10.25-inch digital cluster with a more basic 4.25-inch display, previously standard for the 2024 model.
The S trim receives new 17-inch two-tone wheels as standard. EX customers can opt for a Power Sunroof package, and the EX AWD includes a cargo cover as standard. Kia mentions an updated interior with improved materials and finishes, though details are sparse.
Powertrain options remain the same, with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 146 hp and 132 lb-ft of torque, available in front- or all-wheel drive. A turbocharged 1.6-liter engine, producing 195 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque, comes with standard all-wheel drive and can accelerate to 60 mph in 8.5 seconds.
Unconfirmed reports suggest a hybrid powertrain may be available in 2025, although Kia executives have indicated that the current Seltos won’t offer a hybrid option until the next generation. This aligns with Kia’s strategy to introduce more hybrid vehicles in the future.
The Seltos, introduced in 2019, remains a standout in its class, thanks to its late 2022 facelift. However, Kia may introduce a new model by late 2025 or early 2026, as the brand typically updates its lineup regularly.
The 2025 Seltos continues to offer significant value at an affordable price, making it an attractive option for compact crossover buyers.
