Introducing the Audi RS4 Avant Edition 25 Years: A Special Anniversary Model
Audi marks 25 years of the RS4 with the limited Edition 25 Years model. Featuring a 464 hp twin-turbo V6 and a refined chassis, only 250 units will be produced for Europe. Available in striking Imola Yellow, Nardo Gray, or Mythos Black.
Audi is marking the 25th anniversary of the original RS4 with a special edition, the RS4 Avant Edition 25 Years, ahead of the current model’s replacement by the upcoming RS 5 Avant. This anniversary model features an enhanced twin-turbo V6 engine with 464 hp and a refined chassis setup. Only 250 units will be produced, all for the European market.
The Edition 25 is offered in Imola Yellow, paying homage to the original RS4, with Nardo Gray and Mythos Black as more subdued options. It features glossy black accents, no roof rails, exclusive black taillight inlays, and carbon fiber elements from the Carbon matte appearance package. The rear side windows display the discreet «RS4 edition 25 years» lettering.
Inside, the special edition boasts a numbered plaque on the center console, yellow stitching, and matching emblems. The black upholstery combines leather, Dinamica, and Alcantara. Standard RS bucket seats with carbon backs can be optionally paired with suede-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift lever. The driver’s display features a new skin mimicking the original RS4’s white analog dials.
The upgraded twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 engine delivers 464 hp and 600 Nm of torque, 20 hp more than the standard model. With a new software tune, improved Torsen differential, and updated eight-speed automatic transmission, the car accelerates from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph). The special edition also includes manually adjustable coilovers, lowering the car by 10 mm or 20 mm, with stiffer control arms and increased negative camber for better handling.
The RS4 Avant Edition 25 comes with 20-inch forged alloy wheels fitted with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires. Owners also receive a second set of track wheels with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS semi-slick tires and sensors for the Pirelli Track Adrenaline system, along with Alpinestars racing gloves. Standard features include RS ceramic brakes and an RS sport exhaust with matte black oval tailpipes.
Audi also announced the RS5 Sportback Performance Edition, which shares similar powertrain and chassis enhancements, with 250 units available exclusively in Europe. Orders for both models will open in June 2024, with prices starting at €142,905 ($155,437) for the RS4 Avant Edition 25 Years and €128,420 ($139,682) for the RS5 Sportback Performance Edition. Audi also introduced a matching chronograph for the RS4 Avant Edition 25 Years, featuring a carbon dial and yellow details.
