BMW Reveals Teasers for Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este Concept and Art Car
BMW’s head designer hints at an open-top concept and a new art car for Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. Expect premieres, including a possible M4 CS and celebrations for the Z8’s 25th anniversary.
BMW’s head designer, Domagoj Dukec, teased the brand’s upcoming Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este concept model and a new art car based on their Le Mans challenger on Instagram. Dukec’s «the sky is the limit» comment hints at an open-top two-seater, potentially with a targa design.
With Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este just days away, BMW is set to play a central role, unveiling several new models. Teasers suggest a range of premieres, including a sporty, maritime-inspired concept and a motorcycle from BMW Motorrad. Additionally, BMW M is expected to showcase new products, with rumors hinting at the debut of the M4 CS.
BMW M CEO Franciscus van Meel and abstract painter Julie Mehretu will unveil the 20th BMW art car, a uniquely designed BMW M Hybrid V8 race car for the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.
BMW will also celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Z8, designed by Henrik Fisker. Inspired by the classic 507, the Z8 featured an aluminum-intensive design and a removable hardtop, becoming an instant collectible with fewer than 6,000 units produced. The Z8, famous for its appearance in the James Bond film «The World Is Not Enough,» will be featured prominently at the Concorso, possibly in a special edition akin to the BMW Zagato Coupe from 2012.
