Tesla Cybertruck Gets Practical Upgrades with New Interior and Wheels
Tesla introduces Tactical Grey interior and new wheel package for the Cybertruck, enhancing off-road practicality and increasing driving range.
Tesla has introduced new options for the Cybertruck Foundation Series, enhancing its appeal for different uses. One notable update is the Tactical Grey interior trim, designed for durability and practicality in outdoor settings. This option replaces the previous white interior panels with a dark grey finish, a change that was confirmed by an official photo following earlier leaks. The grey trim is particularly suited for owners who plan to use their Cybertruck for off-roading, as it is less likely to show dirt compared to white interiors.
Additionally, Tesla has rolled out a new wheel and tire package for the Cybertruck. This package replaces the 35-inch All-Terrain tires with 35-inch All-Season tires, better suited for regular road driving. The package also includes redesigned aero wheel covers. Besides aesthetic enhancements, this new wheel and tire setup improves the vehicle’s range. For instance, the Dual-Motor All-Wheel Drive version sees its range increase from 318 miles to 340 miles, and the Tri-Motor version from 301 miles to 318 miles.
Tesla is offering these updates at no extra cost for new orders of the Cybertruck Foundation Series, although it’s not specified whether existing orders can switch to the new interior option. The company aims to produce about 20,000 units of this series, with each vehicle carrying a $20,000 premium over the standard model. Full-scale production of the Cybertruck is anticipated to ramp up by 2025.
