The new Ferrari 12Cilindri combines a robust 819 hp naturally aspirated V12 engine with a heritage-inspired design, achieving a 0-62 mph in just 2.9 seconds.

The recently unveiled Ferrari 12Cilindri, or 12Cylinder, flaunts a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine capable of 819 horsepower. Notable for its absence of turbocharging or hybrid technology, this model, coded F140HD, also offers 500 lb-ft of torque at 7,250 rpm, matching the redline of the 812 Competizione at 9,500 rpm.

The 12Cilindri builds on familiar Ferrari engineering with enhancements like ceramic catalytic converters in the exhaust system, titanium connecting rods, and aluminum alloy pistons, optimizing the vehicle for high performance without excessive weight. The newly designed 6-into-1 exhaust manifolds for each cylinder bank are engineered to reduce backpressure, enhancing the engine’s efficiency and sound.

A significant feature is the «Innovative Aspirated Torque Shaping» which allows for refined torque delivery in third and fourth gears through sophisticated electronic controls, enhancing the driving experience without compromising acceleration. Paired with a cutting-edge eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, the 12Cilindri achieves a 0-62 mph acceleration in just 2.9 seconds, with a top speed of 211 mph.

Structurally, the 12Cilindri features an all-aluminum chassis, which is both lighter and more rigid than its predecessor, the 812 Superfast. It incorporates the four-wheel independent steering system from the 812 Competizione and the latest version of Ferrari’s Side Slip Control for dynamic handling. The model sits on newly developed tires designed to maximize grip and stability.

Aesthetically, the vehicle merges modern design with classic Ferrari cues, including inspiration from the iconic Ferrari Daytona. This model integrates advanced aerodynamics, including active flaps for optimized performance, and a venting system that not only enhances the design but also improves aerodynamic stability.

Inside, the cabin is equipped with a trio of high-resolution displays and features advanced audio technology, standard smartphone integration, and a comprehensive seven-year maintenance plan. The 12Cilindri, set to be Ferrari’s flagship model, is expected to debut with a base price of approximately €395,000, with the Spider variant to follow.

This blend of advanced engineering, refined aesthetics, and state-of-the-art technology ensures the Ferrari 12Cilindri remains a testament to Ferrari’s commitment to luxury and performance.
