Introducing the Huracan STJ: Lamborghini’s V10 Swan Song
Lamborghini launches the Huracan STJ, a 10-unit tribute to the V10 era, boasting unique enhancements and a second faster lap time than the STO.
Lamborghini has officially unveiled the Huracan STJ, a limited-edition marvel limited to just 10 units, marking the grand finale of the V10 supercar era before its successor is introduced later this year. Drawing inspiration from the Huracan STO and the Super Trofeo race cars, the STJ, standing for Super Trofeo Jota, joins the prestigious lineage of Lamborghini’s special edition ’Jota’ models, as accurately foretold by CarBuzz.
At its core, the STJ boasts a 5.2-liter V10 engine, identical to the STO, delivering 631 horsepower and 418 lb-ft of torque, all channeled to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. However, the STJ sets itself apart with an «exclusive performance enhancement package» that includes a bespoke aerodynamic setup by Lamborghini Squadra Corse. This package features new aerodynamic elements and a 3° increase in the rear wing angle, boosting aerodynamic efficiency by 10% without compromising the vehicle’s dynamic balance.
Enhanced handling is ensured by race-inspired adjustable shocks at each corner, while custom Bridgestone Potenza Race tires mounted on 20-inch wheels offer superior grip. These chassis and aero improvements enable the Huracan STJ to lap the Nardò Technical Center Handling Track one second faster than the Huracán STO, despite having the same power output.
Visually, the STJ is closely related to the STO but includes unique touches to distinguish it. Lamborghini offers two exclusive design schemes crafted by Lamborghini Centro Stile for the 10 lucky owners:
1. A Grigio Telesto (grey) exterior with Nero Noctis (black) roof, accented with Rosso Mars (red) and Bianco Isi (white) details. The interior features Nero Cosmus (black) Alcantara seats with leather accents and Rosso Alala (red) contrast stitching.
2. A Blue Eliadi (blue) exterior with a Nero Noctis (black) roof and the same Rosso Mars and Bianco Isi accents.
Each car is adorned with a carbon fiber «1 of 10» plaque, and buyers have the option to personalize an additional plaque for the passenger-side dashboard.
With the Huracan STJ’s debut, Lamborghini bids farewell to the Huracan, introduced in 2014, celebrating the last chapter of its V10-powered super sports cars. The anticipated successor, speculated to be named the Lamborghini Temerario based on trademark filings, is expected to feature a «new hybrid powertrain,» signaling the transition from the iconic V10 engine to a new era of Lamborghini supercars.
