Hyundai’s upcoming Palisade overhaul promises bold aesthetics, enhanced performance with a turbocharged engine, and a peek into the future with a rumored hybrid model.

Hyundai is gearing up for the New York Auto Show with updates to the Tucson and Santa Cruz, alongside developments on a revamped Palisade set for a debut next year. Recent spy shots in the U.S. reveal the Palisade under heavy camouflage, hinting at notable design shifts such as a bold front bumper, a boxier grille, and repositioned, more modern headlights that align with Hyundai’s signature horizon lamp design.

The exterior also shows a refresh with darker A-pillars, robust front fenders, a leveled beltline, and updated roof rails reminiscent of those on the latest Santa Fe model. Inside, the Palisade is expected to sport a vast curved display and upscale materials, alongside a design influenced by the Santa Fe, including a new steering wheel, a gracefully curved lower dashboard, and a divided center console for better access to charging ports.

Under the hood, spy images confirm a turbocharged engine option, speculated to be a 3.5-liter V6 that would outperform the current 3.8-liter engine’s 291 hp. Rumors also swirl around a potential hybrid model featuring a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, expected to surface in 2025, coinciding with the Palisade’s launch.

The Palisade continues to be a strong performer for Hyundai, with an 8% sales increase last year, making it one of Hyundai’s top sellers in the U.S., trailing behind the Tucson, Elantra, and Santa Fe.
