Audi introduces the RS 6 Avant GT, a special edition with enhanced performance, exclusive design details, and a unique interior, marking a new peak in its series.
Audi has unveiled the RS 6 Avant GT, a special edition that marks the apex of its model series with an array of exclusive features aimed at enhancing both aesthetics and performance. The vehicle is distinguished by its dynamic exterior, including a pass-through roof edge spoiler, a redefined diffuser, and 22-inch wheels in a unique design, emphasizing its premier status within the lineup. Inside, the car boasts high-quality bucket seats, a fresh color combination, and individual numbering on the center console, adding an exclusive touch to the cabin.
The RS 6 Avant GT is engineered for an exceptional driving experience, featuring a lightweight adjustable coilover suspension and a reworked quattro sport differential on the rear axle. Its twin-turbocharged V8 engine delivers 630 PS (463 kW) and 850 Nm of torque, ensuring rapid acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. Priced starting at 219,355 euros, deliveries are set to begin in the second quarter of 2024.
This special edition draws inspiration from the RS 6 GTO concept, a project led by twelve apprentices in 2020, paying homage to the legendary Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO race car from 1989. The initiative showcases the significant contributions of young talents to the company during their apprenticeship.
The RS 6 Avant GT stands out with its striking front end, featuring a fully redesigned hood made from carbon fiber, enhancing the vehicle's visual appeal and performance. It also introduces exclusive decals and color options, including Arkona White and Nardo Grey, complemented by high-gloss or matte black wheels.
Standard features include the RS design package plus, with the interior accented in red and copper, and the seats adorned with “RS 6 GT” lettering. The car's limited production run of 660 models ensures exclusivity, with each unit's serial number displayed in the center console.
Performance enhancements include an all-wheel-drive system with an optimized locking center differential and a sport differential specifically tuned for dynamic driving. The car comes equipped with high-performance Continental “Sport Contact 7” tires for improved handling and braking.
Unique to this edition, the RS 6 Avant GT undergoes final assembly at the Böllinger Höfe facility, where specialized employees fit GT-specific features by hand. This production site operates on net carbon neutral principles, utilizing green electricity and heat from renewable sources, underscoring Audi's commitment to sustainable production practices.
